Assefa,
I don’t really know what to say, but I’m sorry. Please do not give up, prognosis is just that, prognosis. There are so many who live beoynd what the doctor said or predicted.
You are in my thoughts. Pleas feel free to share your feelings with us. We are here to support each other.
Hugs and Prayers,
Yuyu
Please feel free to email me (yuyuenomoto@gmail.com) if you would like. I feel close to you already, I don’t know why. Maybe because you are close to my age and also come from other country like me.
Yuyu
Assefa,
You can fight this. If we believed what the doctors told us we would all be in trouble. Dig deep. I know you can win this. Big hug and prayer.

How dare this disease even exist in anyone…much less someone as beautiful and young as you and gemmag.
I have been blogging about my boyfriend’s journey with cancer…from a supporters viewpoint and this is the first time I have seen your weblog. I liked your “I confess” collection of thoughts.
I wish you peace and strength.

Assefa,
Look at the bottom of your foot. Do you see an expiration date? NO! Do not lose hope. There are many good alternative therapies and holistic treatments for cancer. I would start with Dr. Johanna Budwig’s Flax Oil Diet. Cut out all sugars and start eating leafy greens. I have a very good friend with an inoperable brain tumor. He was given a poor prognosis 2 years ago. If you are religious then read Dodie O’Steens Healed of Cancer. The book costs $3. Please email me at melissa_samei@hotmail.com if you are interested in any alternative treatments. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh no! that is horrible news. Are they still going to fight it with treatment?
Assefa, you aren’t a gallon of milk or a jar of mayonnaise are you? Humans don’t have expiration dates stamped on their bodies. No other human, not even a doctor, can tell when someone will be leaving this planet – or even estimate that time! I’m so mad at this doctor. What kind of motivation does this give to a patient? Do not listen to your doctor and lose hope. I’m sorry you had this experience. I hope you find another doctor with better bedside manners and some human decency. Arrrgh! I’m so mad!
I had to take a day and try to put your post in perspective. At first I cried, I felt such loss, both for and with you. Then I remembered how many times I have heard a prognosis given of time and dates. I have known so many people that have been told this date or that and they are still with us.
No one has a bag of days or a roll of tickets to let us know how close we are getting to the end of the ride.
I can only offer this…live everyday, every single day. Do not spend a second counting what is left of your ride. Spend every second living. We talk of being survivors, maybe we would be better to consider ourselves livers, people who have been given a glimpse of our own end and have chosen to LIVE.
I will hold you in prayer. I will send you virtual hugs and love and I will pray you choose to LIVE.
Mac
Oh, sweetie, don’t you listen to such things! Like the others have said, no one has an expiration date. Keep living, and keep fighting. You are not alone! XOXO
